Marjan sold her her advertising business in Amsterdam, arrived in 2001 for a (short) holiday in Bali, on the way to Byron Bay in Australia. But she never ended up there. “You could say that after all these years I am still in transit, because I never left Bali”.

She learned to surf and built her “beachfront villa with palm trees” (nr 1. on her bucket list before her 40th). But it was her gardener and his nephew Wayan who brought her to this village in the “heart of Bali”. She found her balance in life and love for Wayan, the farmers, their families and “The luxury of simple life”.

Wayan and Marjan started The Organic Farm Bali in 2009. But Wayan missed the ocean and his daily surf too much, so he created his own balance: Bali Outdoor. But as partner in the Farm his heart is still at the Farm as well.

Kadek, so beautiful to see her “flowering” from a lazy teenager into a talented chef and manager, creating our delicious fresh Farm to Table Indonesian dishes and desserts. Homemade jams, chocolate, ice cream and every day surprising us again.

Puspa, who once was one of our first generation students now throws all her love and charming smile in letting you feel at home and being the perfect assistant of Kadek.

Effy, the wife of the mayor and our trustable freelance help when Kadek and Puspa need extra hands..

Adinda, Head teacher and host in your Sunday indigenous English class. Together with Dila & Rita as her assistants. All first generation Farm school girls. So proud with them! Cultivating their Bali Aga Culture but preparing themselves and the next generation village kids for the future in a sustainable way.

Depending on the harvest or planting season, freelance farmers and villagers are available and proud to share their love for this area.

The kids and all Villagers, who are just their happy selves! You will probably meet them all!

The 3 rescued Bali beach doggies Poleng, Bear & Milu, who are all nurtured and vaccinated and who love your hugs, are always around to happily welcome you too!
